Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif (Birth of the Prophet) is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad which is commemorated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. Several countries in the world celebrate the memory of the Prophet Muhammad, as this occasion is an official holiday in several countries.
The event is usually marked by congregations where religious leaders make speeches on the life of the Prophet. One of the most important part of Eid Milad-un-Nabi is to focus on the Prophet, his teachings, sufferings, and his character, as he even forgave his enemies.
